Breast Cancer has become one of the most treatable and survivable cancers that we know. This is because of the vast amount of educational awareness and amazing new medical techniques that have come to light about this cancer in the last decade. New surgical procedures, an array of new medicines, and the increasing knowledge of nutrition and prevention, make this cancer more combatable then many of its cancer cousins.

Because of this it is even more important to get the word to the people, and let them know that they have power over this awful disease.

Come join us in helping to educate the community about all these available options and services, and to let people know they are not alone in fighting and someday eliminating this terrible illness.

KARAOKE for CANCER

Along with all the other cancer information and exhibits, people will have a chance to help cancer charities by singing a song.

A donation of any size gives you the opportunity to sing a song to fight cancer.

100% of all money raised will go directly to charity.

So join Paula Stevens and PSS Entertainment and sing your way to good health.

Citizens FOR Pets in Condos is sponsoring this event locally.

WHY WOULD A PRO-PETS ORGANIZATION GET INVOLVED?:

Because we know that pets

1) can provide emotional support to cancer patients and

2) can even detect cancer. Dr. Jon at www.petplace.com says, "Think of all the things our best friend does for us – provide therapy, guide the blind, protect and serve those in law enforcement and the military, search for our missing loved ones, alert us to bombs, guard our homes, detect our cancer... provide unconditional love. Such an incredible creature." (reference Cancer-Detecting Canines)

There is MUCH more on the health benefits of having animal companions at http://www.petsincondos.org/benefits.htm.

Signs of breast cancer

Please add your signature to the breast cancer petition.

The Cancer Project - cancer prevention and survival through a better understanding of cancer causes, particularly the link between nutrition and cancer. Food accounts for roughly 35-60 percent of cancers, including cancers of the stomach, colon, liver, prostate, breast, uterus, and ovary, among other sites. While it is easy for patients to picture how fatty foods could increase colon cancer risk, the effect of fatty foods on breast cancer risk requires more explanation. International comparisons and analyses of the past diets of cancer patients show clear links between meat-based Western diets and colon cancer.

Women who include soy in their diets are less likely to develop breast cancer than women who do not.
